Earth Bands – Beautiful Bracelets Straight From Mother Earth!
Who doesn’t love bracelets? What makes them even better? When they are handmade from our beautiful Mother Earth. As a matter of fact, if you have a specific location in mind, these make wonderful gifts. For example, if your first kiss was in a certain place or state, you could get a bracelet made from those locations’ Earth and sand! What is this great company? Earth Bands -they make amazing, unique bracelets and anklets that really are stunning.
Mother Earth
Yes, every piece of every bracelet is made from Mother Earth. The bands are made from woven hemp rope and the hand rolled beads are from the sand or soil of a specific location! Each piece of jewelry has a bohemian look or even a little “hippie”, which is a compliment. However, that is just my opinion. I love the simplistic look of them and yet, they are also feminine and dainty.

Just as Earth Bands’ website says “Every bead tells your story”. I can’t think of a better way of explaining what Earth Bands are all about. What a perfect gift for any celebration that you have coming up. The holidays would make a great time to begin collecting your Earth Bands Bracelets. Bet you can’t buy just one, especially because buying them supports these special causes: Rainforest Action Network, Protect Our Winters Charity, and Sea Shepard Conservation Society. So you can do good while looking good! Helping others has never been so darn easy.
Great For Teens
Teens love stacking their bracelets and these look beautiful alone or together! Imagine buying your loved one a couple (if not more) and making them a stocking stuffer. Each one will tell your lovely story or at least be a conversation starter. Teens could also use them to trade with friends or even make as “friendship” bracelets. If someone loves a certain state (like New York), you could get the “I love New York” bracelet for that person.
Not only should you buy Earth Bands to help our big blue marble, but helping causes feels amazing. Oh….and they’re gorgeous to wear!

Earth Bands’ business model includes donations to charities
“Live your life, Love your Earth, We are Earth Bands,” is the motto of the Dunsmuir company Earth Bands, which is increasing in popularity while giving back.
Each Earth Band includes a crafted, hand rolled bead made from the sand or dirt of a specific location, and each piece of jewelry is made entirely with USA products.
Currently, bracelets and anklets are available with talks of necklaces being made in the future.
Along with hiring local residents and using USA products, Earth Bands also donates $1 every time an Earth Band is sold.
These pieces of jewelry function as a token or memento from places that hold special meaning in people’s hearts, such as home towns, places weddings were held, awesome vacations, etc. For this reason, each Earth Band comes with a colorful tag that depicts the bead’s place of origin.
“The power to have a piece of your favorite state, place or college is most exciting,” she said. “People post and share their stories and their bracelets; it is so cool. We love the personal connection they have with their bracelets. And for us that’s most exciting, to give people a more truly meaningful bracelet that brings them happiness and good memories are huge for us.”
Vaughan explained that along with specific beaches, states and other locations like Mount Shasta, Weed, and Columbia River Gorge, Earth Bands has added colleges. They now carry beads from 32 of the 50 United States, 23 beaches, 31 colleges, and other options including festivals and international bracelets.
Vaughan said the newest products Earth Bands is most eager to share are from Sedona, Ariz., Eugene, Ore., and the northern Dakota White Buffalo.
She said the Pacific Northwest Sasquatch bracelet is a “fan favorite.”
With the purchase of every bracelet, customers may select from three different charities to have $1 donated by Earth Bands.
“We love the earth and environmental causes and awareness,” Vaughn said. “These three charities cover all three aspects of the environment: air, water and earth. We also have personal connections to Protect our Winters & Sea Shepherd, and the Rainforest Action Network is always so grateful when we are able to contribute!”
Protect our Winters also known as POW, is an organization focused on mobilizing educational initiatives and community-based activism in support of positive climate action. The organization was founded by professional athlete Jeremy Jones, who felt like winter climates were decreasing across the globe.
Sea Sheppard is an organization that strives to maintain marine biodiversity through direct action to defend marine wildlife and protect the marine habitat across the world’s oceans.
Based in San Francisco, Rainforest Action Network protects the forest and upholds human rights through challenging corporate power.
Along with helping the planet, Vaughan said she feels fortunate to be doing something fun and inspiring while living in Siskiyou County, which she considers to be one of the coolest places on Earth.
She said Earth Bands has enjoyed a steady following in its three-plus years. She believes her commitment to sustainable materials and supporting the local economy has helped the company grow.
“We were a just a great idea, then we moved to business plan with seed money investors for R&D for bracelet design and a simple website with 20 bracelets. Now we are a brand with a meaning and message with over 150 bracelets, 12,000 followers on Instagram, New College License Sports bracelets, we are now with Amazon Prime and Fanatics Licensed Sports, and we’re in over 60 retail stores nationwide,” Vaughan said.
She believes the company will continue to grow and that Dunsmuir is a wonderful location to house the business. Overall, she wants local community members to understand Earth Band’s mission, which is a cyclical.
“I have believed in Earth Bands’ potential since the day my brother, Mark, came to me with the idea... Our bracelets are a special kind of gift that also supports others, not only for those that purchase them, but for those who make our bracelets, the USA suppliers we buy our product from, and the causes we support,” Vaughn said. “To be a part of a full circle product with the power to impact and enhance people lives, while contributing to environmental issues was always our mission. From the very beginning, it was the team’s vision to hit all these specific marks and I am truly blessed to be a part of the Earth Bands Adventure.”
Vaughan makes custom Earth Bands for resorts, events, and businesses. For custom or wholesale inquiries about Earth Bands, see the website: www.EarthBands.co.
